Born in Ghana, writer, poet, theatre practitioner Poetivist is with a country voice unearthing visuals of unsaid narratives. He has championed events like Poetic Justice, The Silhouette and Earnest Silhouette after which he aired his opinion about the creative space in Ghana in a column by GUAP Magazine. Aside performances at The Black Gala 2019 and debuting his radio playwright “The Village We Are” on Berlin based radio-Refuge Worldwide, his poem “Ode To Afrika” was the lead poem for TEDxAccra, 2021.
Poetivist performed at the Public Accountability forum held at the Parliament of Ghana and headlined a conversation with the founder of AKADi Magazine at the Writers Project festival dubbed Pa Gya at Goethe Institut, Ghana. In addition to coordinating Ghana Poetry Festival, a Values for Life Ghana production, in collaboration with UNESCO, Bureau of Ghana Languages and many others, he’s known as the fictional character “Ananse” in By the Fireside with Maame Dokono and the e-Ananse Library.
